The 50th Space Wing (SW), a component of Air Force Space Command, is located at Schriever Air Force Base (SAFB), approximately 10 miles east of Colorado Springs.  SAFB is responsible for the operations and support of more than 170 Department of Defense satellites. The 50th SW is one of the world’s best space command and control teams that delivers combat power from space for the United States and her allies.

The 50th SW Civil Engineering Squadron maintains $420 million in real property, ensuring uninterrupted power in support of the $11-billion Air Force Satellite Control Network. The squadron provides fire and environmental protection; contingency planning and disaster response; and operations and maintenance and support services for vital national navigation, weather, communications and surveillance satellite missions assigned to Schriever AFB and 12 worldwide sites.

Aleut Facilities Support Services, LLC (AFSS) is an experienced, small business competing for the opportunity to provide the labor, equipment, transportation, administrative support, training, and supplies needed to support the 50th Space Wing and ensuring their mission success.

AFSS is a member of the Aleut family of Alaska Native-owned Companies.  AFSS has over a decade of consistently superior experience providing base operations and maintenance services to the Department of Defense and other federal and state agencies.

Upon award, we will provide the Civil Engineering Operations and Maintenance Services (CEOMS) required in support of the operations facility at SAFB for buildings 400, 401, 712 and associated base infrastructure systems.  Services will include operation, maintenance, repair, construction, test, and inspection of all installed Real Property (RP) and Real Property Installed Equipment (RPIE) to include: Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, electrical distribution systems, lightning protection, facility water systems, sanitary sewer systems, and solid state uninterrupted power systems (SSUPS). 

AFSS will also be responsible for:  fire suppression and standpipe systems for all facilities on SAFB (excluding Bldgs. 720 and 730) and vehicle gate entrapment areas.  Services are required 24 hours-per-day, 7 days-per-week (24/7).  Also, AFSS will provide the same services mentioned above for the 53,000 square foot facility housing the Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) mission—a Priority Level “A” resource.
