Mr. Kenneth D. Nachbar

Mr. Kenneth D. Nachbar was named Vice President and General Manager of Infrastructure Programs for Aleut Management Services (AMS) in April 2011. In this role, Mr. Nachbar is responsible for the successful cost, schedule, and performance execution of all contracts/projects within the AMS portfolio. In addition, Mr. Nachbar is responsible for working with the other functional departments in developing personnel, ensuring compliance with quality processes and procedures, and in continuing to expand the business through organic growth and new business wins.
Prior to joining AMS, Mr. Nachbar was the Vice President and Director of Operations, Maintenance, and Logistics Programs for ITT Systems Corporation with headquarters in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was responsible for providing direction and oversight that supported the success of the Operations, Maintenance, and Logistics Business Plan, focusing on the Base Operating Support Services, Vehicle/Facility Maintenance, and Logistics Support Services markets worldwide. The Operations, Maintenance, and Logistics business area was approximately $650M in annual sales.
Mr. Nachbar’s career encompasses over 25 years of in-depth engineering, acquisition support, and program management in the Department of Defense (DOD) and commercial industry. Mr. Nachbar started his career as a “front line” electrical engineer for the DOD supporting day-to-day maintenance and repair of the F-111 aircraft. After gaining significant airframe experience, he was selected as the chief engineer/technical manager on two major F-111 modernization efforts. Following a transition to the space systems field, Mr. Nachbar managed several programs aimed at sustaining and modernizing the various weapon systems. After leaving the DOD, he moved to industry where he continued to manage programs at the various ground-based space surveillance and missile warning sites.
